Contexts simplified with the v2.3.6
This release was initially scheduled later on and we first intended to release a v2.4.0. Because of a nasty bug regarding the duplicated contexts when upgrading, and because we want to propose a first version of simplified contexts, we have decided to release that intermediate version.
The next release will propose a global notes list, will display notes directly from the to-do view screen, will allow to add a note directly from the to-dos list screen. If we are efficient, it will also propose a new zones list, as a first step regarding the geo-notification overhaul.
Here are the changes for the current version.
- Duplicated contexts when upgrading: this bug has been fixed and had been introduced in the previous v2.3.5
- Context simplification: it is now possible to set the context of a to-do directly via the to-do modification screen. You can also indicate whether a notification should be triggered when the TooDo current changes to the selected context, via the "Notification" check-box on the to-do modification screen. When modifying a to-do context via the to-do modification screen, all other contextual conditions are removed. For information, you can still access to the "Conditions" screen of a to-do and add multiple contexts, but that is bound to disappear
- Smart folder: it is now possible to filter on multiple contexts at the same time. This way, smart folders enable to better indicate what to-dos they should display
- To-do notes: they are now displayed on the to-do view screen
- Current context change: when changing the context via the "Dashboard" screen, the screen is now dismissed
- Alerts back when upgrading: when upgrading, the previous TooDo ongoing alerts were dismissed. This has been fixed
