Enhancements with the v2.1.2

by TooDo last modified 2008-11-28 19:02

This new release of TooDo bring more stability, fixes some reported bugs, and addresses a major problem with the contextual menus.

Beware, the statistics module has been removed, because it caused TooDo to crash at start-up. The v2.1.1 has been replaced by the herein v2.1.2.

Your feedback and actual usage of various features matters, and this is the reason why we have introduced a new usage statistical module in TooDo: please, do not turn it off!

Here comes the list of changes since the previous version:

  • Contextual menus: they are now displayed when long-clicking on a list item
  • To-do edition and completion: made the application more robust when completing the edition of a to-do, or when marking the to-do as complete. There is a bug there which forces the application to crash for certain end-users but we did not manage to reproduce it
  • RTM/TooDo synchronization: fixes the low and normal to-do priority matching inversion bug. Fixes the bug when the to-do has no due date on RTM side, but also on TooDo's side
  • To-dos list screen sorting: the sorting algorithm is now the same as in RTM
  • Synchronization screen: fixes the bug of when the synchronization is over and when changing the device orientation (this used to relaunch the synchronization process). Moreover, when running a synchronization from the shortcut dialog box, if the credentials are not set or properly set, the screen is not dismissed any more, in order to let the end-user fulfill in
  • To-do status icon: the icon when a to-do does not have a due-date is now the same as when it is not overdue, nor completed (blue interrogation mark)
  • Toggle image buttons: they were not focusable, which used to cause problem when navigating with the track-ball. This is not the case anymore, and this fixes a problem with the filtering control box
  • Statistics: TooDo is now capable of reporting statistics, in order to have better feedback from end-users, and thus enhance the application. A new dialog is poped up once, and asks the end-user if he/she accepts to send usage statistics. In addition, a new check-box "Enabled" has been added to the settings screen, in the section "Statistics", in order to enable/disable this feature at any time. Of course, no personal data is sent, just the number of times you have launched TooDo, for the moment
