Context introduced with the v1.7
This new version proposes the concept of "execution context", and enables to set reminder notifications on todos based on the current end-user execution context. What's more, the user interface has been noticeably enhanced.
Let's explain a bit deeper what the "execution context" feature is about.
- The "execution context" is the same concept as the GTD "context" concept: it indicates under what conditions a task can be accomplished. TooDo extends the geographically-based conditions to the execution context condition: you can now define a new kind of condition for a todo, which will trigger an alert when this condition matches with current end-user situation. TooDo enables the end-user to indicate his current execution context, and to define for each todo some reminder notification conditions bound to a context (more than one can be defined): as soon as the Android device owner switches to a new context, an explicit alert is displayed for all the todos that have a notification condition based on that context. TooDo also enables to create new execution contexts. This context is synchronized with the Toodledo service.
In addition, a close attention has been devoted to the performance of the application, so that it is as much responsive as possible (thanks to the Android traceview tool).
