Better geo-notification with the v2.1.0
This is a major version, since it both concerns the application user interface, and a new geographical notification feature. Many end-users requests have been taken into account.
However, we are aware that there is still some ongoing work to do on the ergonomics and the look and feel.
Here is the list of changes:
- Context with geo-location: this is a major feature. You can now attach to a a context as many geographical zones as you want. Everytime the device matches a zone, the current context is automatically changed, thus triggering a notification for all to-dos that have set a notification condition with the context
- Categories, contexts, notes, notification conditions lists screens: none of those lists are now expandable. In order to perform actions on a list item, please use the contextual menu (pressing the track-ball for a while). The fonts used have been enlarged
- To-do with no due date: it is now possible to define to-dos with no due date
- To-dos list screen filtering: you can now filter by context the displayed to-dos. The status buttons should now be clickable with the track-ball
- To-do "severity": this wrongly used term has been replaced by the to-do "importance" word
- GPS: it is now possible to totally disable the tracking of the Android device via a new entry in the "Settings" screen, via the "Enabled" check-box in the "Geo-notification" section
- To-dos list screen sorting: the to-dos are now sorted first by importance, and then by due-date. Formerly, they used to be sorted only by due date
- Stability augmented: some important work has been done in order to make the application robust, especially when creating/editing notes
