Might want to collaborate?

by TooDo last modified 2008-12-01 22:32

We think that the TooDo application project can involve more people, because it still requires many development in order to propose new functional features, it really needs the expertise of a a designer and of an ergonomist, and because if it proves to be useful and handy, it would be a good idea to port it to other mobile platform Operating Systems.

If you feel interested in the TooDo application, that you have some extra energy at your disposal, or even if you are just curious, we may find a way to collaborate. If you do not work for free, we are also interested, we can think of a partnership. Just simply send an e-mail at toodo@edouardmercier.fr.

Here are some of the profiles that may match.

A designer

Because the current look of the TooDo application is far from being glamourous, and because a nice and smart design for a handheld application is so important, the project is suffering much the lack of a designer, ideally dedicated to mobile platform, or any web designer yearning to switch to mobile platform design.

We are now currently collaborating with a designer/graphist.

Design is a success-key of a handled application.

An ergonomist

Designing a smart handheld application without the skills of someone who knows what is the methodology for taking the best benefit of mobile devices, is a non reasonable challenge. This is why an ergonomist would be more than welcome, in order to help at designing a straightfoward and yet efficient user interface.

Ergonomics has many good practices to teach to handheld platforms.

Some software developers

Is it necessary to explain? For developing the application, implementing new features, making sure that the code legacy is not too a burden, in order to make sure that the application developement is still feature-driven, and test driven, for automating the build process, for setting up the software factory, for thinking on how to drive the development in order to make the code as much as possible automatically portable to other platforms, we have not find better than a software developer so far. If  the TooDo application turns out to be successful on Android, porting it to the Windows Mobile, RIM, iPhone platforms would not be such a stupid idea.
